What Is A Sunscreen?
Sunscreen, also known as sunblock or sun cream, is a photo-protective topical product for the skin that mainly absorbs, or to a much lesser extent reflects, some of the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation and thus helps protect against sunburn and most importantly prevent skin cancer. Wikipedia

Why we need Sunscreen
Sunscreen is important because it helps protect our skin from the harmful effects of the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) radiation. UV radiation can cause sunburn, premature aging of the skin, and increase the risk of skin cancer.
The sun emits two types of UV radiation that can damage the skin: UVA and UVB. UVA rays can penetrate deeper into the skin and can cause long-term damage, such as wrinkles and age spots, while UVB rays can cause sunburns and contribute to skin cancer.
Sunscreen works by absorbing or reflecting the UV radiation before it can penetrate the skin. It typically contains ingredients such as titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, which physically block the UV rays, or chemicals such as avobenzone or oxybenzone, which absorb the UV radiation.
It is important to use sunscreen every day, even on cloudy or overcast days, as UV rays can still penetrate through clouds and cause damage. Sunscreen should also be reapplied every two hours or after swimming or sweating, as it can wear off over time.
In summary, using sunscreen is an important part of protecting your skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation and reducing the risk of skin damage and skin cancer.
