Lavender toning Lotion Bar

A Lotion bar is like a solid body butter with the same ingredients but without a jar. You are going to make it quite solid put it in the fridge to set and you can use it by rubbing it straight on your skin after a bath or shower.

A Lotion bar may look like soap, but it’s a solid hydrating bar. When rubbed on the skin, the heat from your body starts to gradually melt the product, resulting in a moisturizing layer that helps to soften and soothe dry skin

INGREDIENTS

  • 60ml coconut oil
  • 80g of Shea butter
  • 80g of beeswax
  • 4tablespoon of dried lavender
  • 10 drops of lavender essential oil
  • 30ml papaya liquid fruit extract.
  • 30ml IKB brightening serum with vitamin C

It’s a unique blend of SERUM with alpha arbutin that restores skin’s smoothness, radiance, and clarity.

Papaya extract is excellent in stabilizing oily skin and working as an exfoliant on dry areas. I used papaya extract for natural lift and rejuvenation of the skin.

Papaya contains vitamin A which benefits skin repair by increasing the rate of new cell formation. It also has vitamin C which is also an antioxidant with wonderful proteins for smoother, softer skin.

PROCESS

In a double boiler, I infused 3 tablespoons of dried lavender in the coconut oil for 30 minutes on low heat. I put it down, let it cool, and strained through a cheesecloth reserving the oil. I discarded the lavender.

In another bowl, I melted my Shea butter and beeswax and when it had melted I added the infused lavender oil and mix.

I removed it from the heat when it was slightly cooled down I added my papaya extract, IKB SERUM, my lavender essential oil, and the remaining 1 tbsp dried lavender.

I stirred it continuously poured it into my silicone mold and left it to set by putting it in the fridge.

This toning lotion bar came out nice and smelled so good.
