What is a Facial Mask?
Face masks are great additions to any skincare routine to target specific skincare concerns. Masks can help hydrate skin, remove excess oils and help your skin to glow.
The first facial mask was invented in Ohio, United States, during the 19th century by Madame Rowley. It was called the “Toilet Mask” or the first “face glove” a mask that was beneficial for anyone who wanted to ‘bleach, purify and preserve the complexion of the skin. It was patented in 1875. - 1/4 teaspoon of powdered organic turmeric
- 2 teaspoons of bentonite clay
- 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar
Mix well with a wooden or plastic spoon. Do not use metal. Apply evenly to face and neck, avoiding the eye and lip area. Let it dry for 10-15 minutes. Remove gently with a warm, wet washcloth.
