2023 is the year that the new government in the UK are planning to implement new policy and that doesn’t count out immigration rules, they are trying to put in some update and changes on the immigration level which I felt to discuss with you guys in this post so that you will know.

1. National Minimum Wage

From April 2023 there will be a change in the UK National Minimum wage. So if you planning to get a part-job or move into the UK this 2023 is very important you know there will definitely be a change in the minimum wage starting from April 2023.

For those that are 23 years and above their minimum wage will be £10.42 on April 2023

For those that are between 21 and 22 years their minimum wage will be £10.18 on April 2023

For those that are between 18 to 20 years their minimum wage will be £7.49 on April 2023

If you are under 18 years, your minimum wage will be £5.28 on April 2023

2. The UK government are taking action to allow those who came into this country as a victim of human trafficking or slavery to reside in the UK.

Many people who moved into UK based on human trafficking, the good thing is that government are making plans that those that are victim of this are able to reside in the country and given the adequate support they can get.

3. People from Ukraine are now allowed to stay in the UK

Because of the ongoing war in Russia many people moving in to Ukraine are finding it difficult to integrate themselves in to the country. So Government are now ensuring that they will be allowed to stay in Uk that is for those coming frkm the Ukraine.

4. You can apply for a seasonal work visa and to come to the UK to work in:

  • horticulture for up to 6 months – for example, picking fruit and vegetables or flowers
  • poultry from 18 October to 31 December, in the same year

You need to apply for poultry Seasonal Worker visas by 15 November each year.

You can apply for horticulture Seasonal Worker visas at any time of year.

This visa has replaced the Temporary Worker – Seasonal Worker visa (T5).

5. UK Government will reduce the rate of illegal immigrants in the country.

Illegal immigration in the UK is going very high and the UK government is set to take critical measures towards it by making a lot of immigration rules for illegal immigrants in 2023. For that those that are planning to change their tier 4 visa and stay illegally in the UK should think again.

One of the ways dey ensure in doing this is;

To ensure that a new border security system (known as E-border) is implemented and making it very difficult for people to illegally enter the UK and these are the people that come in through Greece, France, and some other neighboring countries. This E-border uses biometrics and facial recognition to identify people who are trying to enter the country without a valid passport or visa.

6. Uk Government will increase detention center

This detention center will be used to detain illegal immigrants and will introduce a new system to speed up their deportation process to a say 3rd country.

7. UK Government will be strict on employers who employ illegal immigrants

A lot of things are going to be changed in 2023 and the cost of leaving will be very high. All these listed above are things you need to know before moving into the UK this 2023
