  8. Heat the mixture on low heat for several hours, stirring occasionally.
  9. When the oil and water have separated, skim the oil from the top of the mixture.
  10. Pour the oil into a clean glass jar and store it in a cool, dark place.

Your lavender essential oil is now ready to use! You can use it in a diffuser, add it to a carrier oil for massage, or use it as a natural remedy for various ailments.
